About Wendy Michelle Davis
Wendy Michelle Davis When you see my paintings it is fairly clear that I am in love with nature. I grew up spending lots of time in the outdoors camping and hiking with my family. The beauty of the natural world is a major inspiration when I paint. Nature is organic, always growing and moving. I tend to paint in a way that brings this organic movement into my work using bold strokes of paint and soft lines as I create a new piece. Color is also very important to me. Blending vibrant hues to create texture and depth is a vital part of each of my compositions. My goal is to make pieces of art the capture the loveliness of the fleeting and temporal and make it lasting and forever vibrant. I live in Waco, Texas. The terrain is a mixture of fields of green, corn and cotton, rolling hills and oak trees. The historic Brazos and Bosque Rivers intersect in the city and wind through our lovely city park. I’m collecting scenes and images to paint as I spend time outside. There is so much to inspire me!
